Investigation the effect of different types of mineral fillers on mechanical properties of Hot Mix Asphalt

چکیده

Abstract The use of waste materials in the construction process has become more popular during last decades since that it reduces initial cost and solid disposal. Rice Husk Ash (RHA) is a material available huge quantity Iraq used as mineral filler this study. current research focuses on investigation effect three types mechanical properties Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). In addition to RHA, limestone Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) were fillers (MF). RHA was prepared by burning two stages, first stage involves closed space second an oven at 800 °C for hours. Different percentages these (25%, 50%, 75% 100%) OPC replacement with conventional produced HMA. obtained mixes tested determine Marshall Stability, Flow, indirect tensile strength ratio. results showed can be HMA; however, optimum ratio 25 % 75 limestone.
